Over the past few weeks, I had the incredible opportunity to lead my team in planning our team's first-ever Juneteenth experience for the Creator Community. TikTok has been such an incredible Hosted in Atlanta, this event celebrated Black excellence by spotlighting Black-owned brands and products on TikTok Shop, aiming to build brand awareness, deepen trust with Black creators, and drive GMV. Black creators were invited for a day of inspiration and empowerment, featuring viral hair care, skincare, makeup, and fashion products, plus an experiential lineup of Black hair models, a singing quartet, and men's and women's styling experiences. Celebrities whose businesses had found success on TikTok Shop also joined. I served as a consultant, supporting agency selection and onsite execution. The event brought in 300 creators, distributed 600+ products, and drove $100K in GMV.
